Since 34 is our goal defense in pegging is helpful one of the highest defensive pegging holds here (2 11s count) I think 8 pts in the crib is very possible here. I will play on for those high goes count or 31. dec |

| Coeurdelion 729 votes Joined: October 2007 |      ![]() Sunday 3:37 AM Must throw the 10-Q and keep the potential double run and also a possible dozen. Cut is handy for crib. Quite a good position for 2nd deal? I'll lead a 4 and play defense. |
| Gougie00 759 votes Joined: March 2008 |      ![]() Sunday 4:26 AM I cringed a bit because 10-Q is what I like to throw in my opponent's crib. Gotta be agressive here with the pegging because it looks like I'll be short of hole 35. That's cribbage. |

| Ras2829 472 votes Joined: November 2008 |      ![]() Sunday 10:57 AM There are three reasons to retain 2-4-4-7. These cards have the greatst potential value for count in hand, offer best prospect for pegs, and X-pointers to own crib quite often score well. Why? Opponent is far more likley to toss two X-pointers to your crib than to toss two mid cards or small cards by about three to one. So all of those factors are maximized by tossing those big cards. Even though the cut of the Jack gave me two on the turn-up and makes a run of three in the crib, don't be overly defensive on the pegging.Take what you can. What you know at this point is that you have a four-point hand and a 3-point crib. Want to be in that second street cpz when I have the next deal (43-47). |
