Those 11 counts (2 is better) might get me trap on the dealers final peggers and that 5 cut. 6-10 is my discard got my 4 points period. Now with the 7 cut I will lead the 3 hearts take the fifteen if it occurs on next play.good one (unless crazy and they play a 6) dec |

| Andy (muesli64) 266 votes Joined: August 2009 |      ![]() Friday 3:45 AM Must keep 2-3-3 for fairly obvious reasons. Mustn't forget we need four points. Don't want to peg only 1 point and end up with our pair on 120. So it is between keeping 7 or 10. We are going to lead a 3 - worst case response is an 8 - we play a second 3 at that point as we can't play either of the 7 or 10 not to mention the 2. So the count is 14. Oppo likely plays a face card for 24. So I am keeping the 7. |

| Coeurdelion 729 votes Joined: October 2007 |      ![]() Friday 3:56 AM Not much to choose between 6-7 and 6-10. I think 2-3-3-7 just has the edge on the pegging so I'll go for 6-10. Ditto for the 3 lead. |

| johnnywaffles 166 votes Joined: December 2009 |      ![]() Friday 5:53 AM In the real-life situation, I went with this hand, led the 3, got paired, and won on the trips. So the 7-10 debate was moot, but I favored the 7 for pegging purposes. |

| PBatterson 255 votes Joined: March 2009 |      ![]() Friday 9:24 AM Both 4 away. How do you keep your opponent from pegging. Keeping the 2-3-3-6 is the best hand to prevent this. If you lead a three, he pairs it you win the game. Only an 8 or a five cut does not give you enough to go out. 6-3-2 is a "magic eleven" combo. Play D- you count first. |

--------% Opp'n Pegs Out--% Peg a Win--% Hold out 2-3-3-7________29.9___________4.0________100.0 2-3-3-0________31.8___________3.3________100.0 2-3-6-7________40.3___________2.6________100.0 2-3-3-7 gives us the least chance of losing on the pegging, the best chance of pegging out and holding 4pts of course ensures we will peg out if we get to the first take. After the 7 cut I will lead a 3 and play off: --------------Net Peg Pts-------Win % 3___________(-2.65)___________66.2 2___________(-2.85)___________57.4 7___________(-3.04)___________57.8 |
| Ras2829 472 votes Joined: November 2008 |      ![]() Friday 10:36 AM Holding four points needing four to win is preferable to holding six when needing four. The seven is also an unexpected card with 2-3 combination - so pegging value is increased alghough will play off since counting first will give me the game. At least we avoided that lousy jack on the turn-up. Have a nice weekend! |
| Guest |      ![]() Friday 10:46 AM I like this keep for a couple reasons: 1) If my 3 is paired, I win ; 2) If a 6 is played on my 3, I also win ; 3) If a face card is played, I can peg 2 and possibly win on the next play if another face card is played. |

--------% Opp'n Pegs Out--% Peg a Win--% Hold out 2-3-3-6______30.3______________1.8_________97.1 No real reason to choose this above 2-3-3-7. |
| Lumbergh 317 votes Joined: June 2008 |      ![]() Friday 3:20 PM Priority #'s 1, 2, and 3 is to hold enough to go out. I've seen King Richard hold 2 points in this situation and peg 1 (sorry for bringing up this sore point Richard, but it was for the better of all, so I'm sure you'll understand). Now I have the Richard Rule, always hold enough to go out. Between the 7 and 10, I chose the 10 for the reasons given above by Andy. |
