The play is offense obviously.Keep the six points(28 cuts improve hand). Hard to justify doing an 8-9 here. The pegging has two 11 counts here do I will play on here to try to get 34 and beyond.Needed cuts for hands hands like that early yesterday.Nice showing jm. dec

I guessed right. I am not too pleased over the Q9 in my own crib which might yield 2 poinrs.

wish I would have went with my first thought and put the 8/9 in my crib but would have tough time to justify not keeping the 6 points -but darn sn 8/9 would probably have been better than Q/9 in crib oh well still have nice hand

Always throwing 9-Q. No other issues.

Granted, 9-Q's awful, but you gotta keep 6. I won't keep my hopes up for 100%.

I can't throw away points at this spot on the board and expect to win too many games.

Half the time dealer just tosses the cards that don't work to the crib. Can't think about any other choice here. There are less than 10 of the 91 discards combinations that are worth a scarifice of two points in dealer hand and none of them look like 8-9. If you would like to know more about those and sacrifice limits, E-mail Ras@localaccess.com.

Playing an Offense strategy the dynamic expected averages and Win %'s are:

OFFENSE------Hand-Pegs-Crib-Total---W7 %-----W8 %
3-3-4-8______8.74+3.37+2.96=15.07___19.6_____39.3
3-3-4-Q______4.74+3.43+4.87=13.04___16.0_____33.3
3-3-4-9______6.57+3.20+3.23=13.00___15.7_____34.0

Although the crib expected average of 8-9 is 2pts better than 9-Q it is obviously not worth the
the 4pts sacrifice. The 2pt sacrifice of discarding 8-Q is about the same as 3-3-4-Q on expected averages and Win %'s or you could say equally bad. 9-Q is clearly the correct choice.

After the 2 cut I will play Offense to the lead.
