Move on down the board today, tossing 9-9 leaving a run in the hand. |

I will go on the win percentage choice of ditchin dem nines. 15s or pairs on deep counts would be prefered. dec |

I need an above average score in this hand to get back on track.
6-7-9-9 has the potential to become a valuable hand after a few cuts, 4-5 has the potential to become a valuable crib in combination with the right three cards. Had planned a 9 reply to a J, Q or K from the 9-7 sixteen, but now I know two fives are out of circulation, that tactic may not bear fruit. |

This hold is one of,if not the best pegging hand a dealer can keep-we will outpeg the pone 6-0 if he has all pictures, and our hand will increase from anywhere from 12 to 16 with any 4,5,6,or 7 cut-just too much upside to play it any other way |

Toss the trash peggers, keep the good ones, keep the 4 card run and the 5, toss a pair . thelawnet says: After the cut we are at 108+, pone might have done well but we want to peg something as pone might have tossed something like 72 to our crib.
Never mind that the 5 might have helped him, I want to be closer to 121. |

Thought about 45 but I cannot afford to miss. I'll be aggressive and get myself as far down the track as possible to see if I can go out next deal. |

We are a handful of holes 'short' of position, and so we need a good Cut!
That 5 Card will have to do! ; - ) |

Tossed the 9-9. The run gets help from cuts 2 through X |

Great pegging hand for dealer. Great potential for hand improvement. 9s in the crib. I think this is the best way to go. |

My crystal ball is becoming clear. I will be in prime position as pone on the next deal. My crystal ball also tells me that the pone on this deal DOES NOT have a fistful of face cards. My crystal ball tells me I have made the correct discard. Gougie00 says: I'd like to borrow that crystal ball for the next tournament.

Unlike jcreagle I don’t have a crystal ball but threw 9 9 anyway. |

Not a tough call. With the 5 cut, I’d lay off a face card in anticipation of opponent having a 16 hand.
Maybe the nuance here is the pegging after you hit - you don’t want opponent to be dealing from 3 or less next hand, and it seems unlikely that you’ll get out from 22, unless the dealer threw K6 or KA. |

Before today, I would always toss 9-9 from this hand. But today I pondered for a while. Both hands are "guaranteed" 8 points. But I much prefer the 5 in my crib as not thrilled with a pair of nines. I am totally in the minority today so maybe my first choice was right all along? I will wait for HAL and RAS to advise. Hope everyone had a great Civic Holiday yesterday. |

Hard to pass up 2 eleven from heavens and the 456 together. Bingo. Now it becomes a pegging problem. Did the cut help pone to 12? What to do? Play on or play off? Please lead anything but a ten pointer. |

RAS loses a lot of games on 4th street when a five is cut. Did I have any X-pointers? None in six cards! Wonder where they might be? Will know when n/d lays down 10-J-J-Q or similar with matching Jack for 17 points. If the lead is a X-point card, will play defensively and play the 6. With opponent 19 out and my dealing 3 holes short of 4th Street CPZ (95-99) am choosing offense although will play off the lead. Might that be optimal? Ras2829 says: Defense or optimal pegging strategy should allow dealer to wiggle through scoring a few pegs and not giving up many. With two magic 11's (5-6 and 4-7) plus a "sweet 16" (4-5-7) ought to pick up some relatively safe pegs. The five cut makes me wary and don't want to give n/d many pegs here. If a five or ten is not the lead, think I got a chance to pull this game out even though 3 holes short to deal. |
