If possible, I chose cards that add points in my hand and also cards that add points in my crib. I start with 6 points before seeing the starter card. |

The new player sees Aces and thinks: Pegging! But the seasoned player prefers pegging with the three-card Magic Eleven: 3-4-4. Aces into the Crib! 🧰 ☕ 🍩 Eolus619 says: AND JQT…DCH’s own Rob M has written in CW about the added value of a three card “11” with a pair in it❗️❗️ |

From this position I don’t want to put all my eggs in the picture card cut basket of AA44- prefer this much better pegging hand with plenty of cuts that will get us to at least 12-congrats to Scott on winning the Virginia Beach consy yesterday-they have a 22 gamer today so he has a good shot at another score scottcrib says: Thanks! dec says: well done Scott dec Eolus619 says: Morning Rob…n/der leads a trey…your reply is ? thx mrob2199 says: I’m being aggressive in my pegging from this position Bruce-trying to get to as close to 4th street as I can Eolus619 says: Thx |

Agree the face card gut cut looks obvious here. But there are positives on this keep defensive elevens and starting with six points. Still a chance at a doz here. dec |

Was tempted to hold AA44 and play for a face. I hedged and played it safer. I like the 344 together. Peg a little. |

Open-ended double-run, pegging and a combined 6 points. With the herd. Congrats Scott E! |

3-7 is tempting, but I will keep this pegger. On an X lead and X continuation, do you play for the 4-card 31 (with 4, 7) or the 5-card 31 (with 3, pair of 4s)? |

Not a fan of pairs to my crib (unless 5-5). Not seeing any T or X kept the A-A-4-4 combo. Be curious to see what HAL suggests is best. |

Great Scott! Nice work! I'm with all the other fine folk above. 3,4,4 intact was just too tempting for me. scottcrib says: Thanks! |

Hand average is better by close 1.4 points. I saw the Magic eleven. but it's more difficult to pair your own 4 than your own Ace. It will be close though. Offense to the lead. |

I hoped for a 10/court card cut too. |

At 70*-68 playing an Offense strategy for the pegging the dynamic expected averages and win/Loss %s are:
_______________Our Offense___Hand_Pegs_Crib_Total____W4 %____W5 % 3-4-4-7____6.74+3.43+4.79=14.96____42.7____36.3 A-A-4-4____8.13+3.09+3.62=14.84____42.7____36.5 AS-4-4-7___6.83+3.15+4.02=14.00____38.2____31.3 Offense_______L4 %____L5 % 3-4-4-7________42.3____47.4 A-A-4-4________42.2____47.2 AS-4-4-7_______44.3____52.0 3-4-4-7 is best for expected averages by 0.12pt. and although A-A-4-4 is fractionally better for Win %s and Loss %s I'll still select the pair of As to discard. After the 7 cut I'll play Defense to the lead. |
