This should be a high % discard in my opinion.
Cribbage Pro Daily Scrimmage Score: 121 to 112 Some interesting pegging sequences. Particularly Hand 9 preparing for the bad beat. |

It should be. How close the J-3 discard is the only other choice considering. Queen hearts lead. dec Inushtuk1 says: Hi Dan. Why the Qh lead as opposed to the flush fake? dec says: it was a tie with the Queen of clubs saw the heart cut probably minimal effect. dec Inushtuk1 says: Yes, i see it now. Thanks Dan. |

Agree with above. Gotta go offensively here and try to get to hole 69-70. |

I went A-K confidently, but saw another DCH commentor that did go 4-5. james500 says: It was an interesting hand. A case can be made for each of the three discards. Tall Troy says: I apologize if this isn't the proper place to ask this. I'll ask James but if anybody knows the answer, I would appreciate knowing. What makes the "brutal" setting on Cribbage Pro brutal verses challenging? Does brutal know our cards? Inushtuk1 says: I don't think so. Perhaps it just takes a very aggressive approach at all times, which can be taken advantage of. Not sure. good question though. Inushtuk1 says: I went 4-4-5-5(A-K). james500 says: Hi Troy. From the FAQ on the Cribbage Pro site, https://www.cribbagepro.net/faq-how-to.html the following answer is given:
"...on the easy (Standard) and intermediate (Challenging) levels, the computer will make scoring mistakes just as it makes sub-optimal choices when it plays cards/etc. On the advanced (Brutal) level, no mistakes are ever made..." |

At 55-58* playing an Offense strategy for the pegging the dynamic expected averages and Win/Loss %s are:
________________Our Offense___Hand__Pegs_Crib____Total___W4 %____W5 % 5-J-Q-Q____10.63+1.39+(-5.76)=6.26____10.5____35.9 4-5-Q-Q_____8.24+1.52+(-4.66)=5.10_____5.8____28.6 3-5-Q-Q_____7.98+1.35+(-4.48)=4.85_____5.2____27.4 Offense______L4 %____L5 % 5-J-Q-Q_______11.8____36.3 4-5-Q-Q________8.8____39.0 3-5-Q-Q________8.4____39.3 5-J-Q-Q is best for expected averages by 1.16pts. and is very much best for Win %s. Although it is very slightly worst for Loss %s I'll select the 3-4 to discard. After the 6 cut I'll lead a Q and play Offense: Lead__________Our Pegging Points Q____________________1.39 J____________________1.19 5____________________1.17 |

I’m with the crowd here, chancing the 3-4 discard to maximize my hand at this position. |
